MERWAN DUBASH is the son of Adi and Rhoda Dubash, who were close disciples of Meher Baba. Born in 1947 in Karachi, now Pakistan, he was named by Meher Baba and grew up under Baba’s guidance. Merwan met Baba for the first time when he was 18 months old. He had the great privilege of spending time with Baba on many occasions, including the Wadia Park Darshan 1954, East-West Gathering 1962, and three long visits with Baba in Guruprasad in Pune in the 1960s. A Canadian, Merwan has lived in Toronto for over 50 years. He is a Chartered Accountant (CPA) and was a trustee of Meher Baba’s Trust from 2014 to 2020. Since retirement in 2005, he and his wife Ruby spend many months a year volunteering for the Avatar Meher Baba Trust in Meherabad and Meherazad.
NAOSHERWAN ANZAR. Lovingly called ‘Nosh,’ is known to the entire Meher Baba world as the editor and publisher of GLOW INTERNATIONAL, launched under Avatar Meher Baba’s direction in 1966. Naosherwan is strongly committed to preserving, documenting, and sharing the story of Meher Baba’s life, work and teachings. Towards that end, he launched Beloved Archives, a secular non-profit, foundation in the United States. He first met Meher Baba when he was two months old and grew up under His direct spiritual guidance. Over the years he had several meetings with Meher Baba; his last meeting 40 days before Baba dropped His body. Beloved Archives is a spiritual refuge for all who seek freedom of mind and heart. Offering information on the life, work and teachings of Meher Baba, silent meditation sessions and online programs rooted in the deep spiritual teachings of love, compassion, and service. Seekers constantly visit the Meher Baba Museum where the Avatar’s original artifacts are preserved. Naosherwan lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his wife Mahrukh and conducts the activities of Beloved Archives.
PRESENTERS
MISCHA RUTENBERG. A modern Sufi troubadour, Mischa has serenaded audiences around the world with his deeply felt songs of love for Meher Baba. He has composed hundreds of songs, recorded 43 CDs of original music, and created over 240 devotional videos in praise of Meher Baba. Most of these videos can be seen on YouTube on his channel called ‘Mischamuse.’ Mischa first learned of Meher Baba in 1968 and became a member of Sufism Reoriented the following year. Mischa works as a fine jewelry designer with his wife, Gina, in San Francisco, California.
NEW JERSEY DANCE GROUP. Dance, in all its forms, is a profound expression of spirituality — a sacred bridge between the soul and the Divine. For the New Jersey Dance Group, it is more than movement; it is a prayer in motion, a celebration of grace, rhythm, and devotion. At the heart of the group is a deep commitment to honor Beloved Meher Baba through the universal language of dance. The dancers bring a rich tapestry of styles to the stage. Some are classically trained in Indian dance forms such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Kuchipudi, while others draw from vibrant traditions like folk, Bollywood, and contemporary dance. The group has performed a wide array of devotional music, both in Hindi and English, including compositions by Madhusudan Pund, the Australian Aarti, and Bollywood Sufi melodies. Their dances are not just artistic expressions; they are offerings of love, unity, and reverence. Dancers shown here are Simmi Arora, Meher Akshay Bundellu and Koustuba Dheram.
GOHER (KHARAS) MOBED: Goher was born to Freni and Minoo Kharas, one of Avatar Meher Baba's closest disciples. Goher has had the rare privilege of being named by Meher Baba Himself and she spent a childhood filled with stories, experiences and teachings of Meher Baba, through the life of her father, Minoo, narrated in his biography, ‘The God-Seeker.’ She met Meher Baba for the first time in 1962 at the East-West Gathering in Pune, and again in 1965, at Guru Prasad. Goher's home in Karachi was the central Meher Baba Center, where many seekers came to learn about the Avatar. Goher lives with her husband, Danny in Florida.
PAM RUBENSTEIN was raised in a Midwestern Catholic family. She met her husband Danny at USF in 1969. The two became singer/songwriters and performed together in many folk venues. Meher Baba caught them in His net through a Calypso song “Stinking Garbage”, which Pam heard upon awakening in 1981. When they met Bhau Kalchuri on his 1993 US tour, one of his catch phrases was, “Give your stinking garbage to Baba. He is the Ocean; He can absorb it”. Pam and Danny (“The Rubensteins”) recorded four CDs together, embellished with their glorious harmonies. Pam lost dear Danny in 2022, but has continued performing as a solo artist. She recorded two solo albums, “Original Sound” and “Always Now.” Pam currently resides in Tampa, Florida with her Ragdoll kitten, “Harry Krishna.”
THE NEW JERSEY BHAJAN GROUP has been performing at Beloved Archives for several years. Their performance at the 50th Anniversary of Glow International was widely lauded. They sing the compositions of Bhau Kalchuri and Madhusudan Pund, bhajans that Meher Baba enjoyed during the Mass Darshan programs.
